i am SO EXCITED to show you the fall capsule wardrobe i made for lucy with once upon a child.

i love having capsule wardrobes for the girls. i do their laundry a couple times a week so i kept that in mind when thinking about how many items i would need for lucy.

when making a capsule wardrobe, it’s helpful to start with a color scheme in mind. for lucy’s fall capsule, i knew i wanted to use maroons, pinks, creams, and olive tones. when i found this suspender skirt by gymboree, i knew the colors were perfect for her capsule! i tried to coordinate all of the rest of the items with the colors in the skirt.

one of the main reasons i was excited to shop at once upon a child is there amazing prices and great sales! the most expensive item i bought was $6.50 which is a steal for baby clothes! i had a budget of $50 and i ended up spending $49.49 for the items in the capsule – so i think that was pretty amazing! i am only planning on adding a few items to the capsule that we already have on hand – white gerber onesies (my favorite), hairbows from little poppy co. and all the comfy cozy tights!

one thing i looked for were little details. i love the ruffles on the sleeves of the heart and flower top, the ruffles on the bottom of the floral/fox top and the little eyelet details on the pink stripe top.

four pairs of leggings – $1.50 each, except the cat print ones on the far right for $2.50. i had these same pair of cat print leggings when lucy was a newborn!

i could not resist these cozy pink fleece lined, corduroy overalls. they were my most expensive purchase at $6.50.

how precious is this carters jumper?! i can’t wait to put lucy in this with some cream tights.

i got this cute ice cream/cat print cardigan for only $2.50. this is also an item i had when lucy was a newborn. it coordinates with the jeggings and pink leggings! such a versatile piece.

how adorable is this cat skirt for $2.50?! i styled it with a white onesie and cream sweater, but it would be cute with the grey onesie too.

i almost bought this sweatshirt from old navy this spring. it was part of their valentines drop. i think it was around $20 new – but i got it from once upon a child for only $3.50!

i love how each item can be mixed and matched with other items in the capsule to give so many different outfits!

i am SO excited to share that once upon a child – electric road is offering my followers $5 off $25! head to my instagram and like, save and share my post with your friends!
