invitation to play: frozen sensory bin

I’m sharing how I made this snow sensory bin to celebrate frozen 2 coming out to Disney plus today!

supplies:

baking soda

shaving cream

glitter, optional

frozen figurines (I got our set from Walmart!)

plastic storage bin (I used a 6qt size from target)

combine equal parts baking soda and shaving cream. I used two boxes of baking soda and one can of scentless shaving cream from Walmart. I shook in a little glitter and mixed it all together in the storage bin!

I’ve found that even with the lid down the snow can get kind of dried out. It’s easily revived by adding in more shaving cream!

This activity can get messy really quickly, but as I’ve mentioned before, I tell claire that I expect she will leave the snow in the bin and if she makes a mess we will put it up and try again another day. So far, we have only had success! she has played independently with this for up to two hours at a time, which is a huge win in my book!
